In my ideal mindset, both couples would have reunited before they discontinued their characters on the series, though I knew that the chance of either happening was slim. Declan’s character already was discontinued, for one. So, their ability to play off his absence while somehow reinstating Dolly J.’s relationship was faulty, and a statement confirming their rekindled relationship wouldn’t have been as satisfying as a having scene with them together. :/
